- Type V80R relay is basically a hinged armature, electromechanical relay working on the attracted armature principle. The operating element consists of armature, yoke, core and a hinge piece forming the electromagnetic path. The operating coil is wound over a bobbin through which the core is passed. When the coil is energized, the core is magnetized and attracts the hinged armature which in turn actuates the closing and opening of the contacts.
